A simple beginning.

The Premise of Rabbit Trail

In Rabbit Trail, we are transported to a magical forest and suddenly turned into a rabbit. Finding out what has happened to us won’t be easy – we will need to solve challenging puzzle, explore fascinating worlds and slowly unravel the mystery of how we lost our human form.

Gameplay

In Rabbit Trail, we have over 60 carefully designed levels, spread out across six worlds, and in each level, we need to guide rabbits to carrots. Of course, it’s not as simple as it sounds – we’ll need to master unique mechanics, adapt to traps, and solve increasingly complex challenges as we explore the world around us.

We start with one rabbit and one carrot, but with each level, the puzzles get harder and harder. At some point, we will need to guide 4 rabbits at once, each with its own carrot. Now, it’s important to note that we move the rabbits simultaneously, as in together. It makes for a more challenging gameplay, and solving the puzzles truly requires strategic thinking.

Should we get stuck, Rabbit Trail has a hint system, allowing us to use up to three hints per level.

As we play, we also meet a plethora of quirky characters, from Wisehop, a sage rabbit, who will serve as our guide, to Zurza, a witch, who might be our first lead to solving the mystery of the forest.

Rabbit Trail is rendered in 16-bit pixel graphics that easily remind us of puzzle games of old.

Some Other Things

Rabbit Trail has basic audio and video settings. The game has Steam achievements, but no Trading cards yet.

Conclusion

Rabbit Trail, with its charming story and simple yet challenging bite-sized levels, offers us a nice little break from everyday worries. If you like short gaming sessions and puzzle games, give Rabbit Trail a chance.
